TTD lays stress on pollution-free power generation

Tirupati, May 18 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) Executive Officer A P V N Sarma, today stressed its commitment to environment-friendly and pollution free power generation.

Addressing the inaugural session of a workshop on "bio-gas based distributed grid power generation programme" here last evening, Mr Sarma urged the people to use conventional energy and avail of the developing technology, to check depleting natural resourses.

The TTD is contemplating starting a bio-gas plant in the Sri Venkateswara Dairy Farms here, he said.

Speaking on the occasion Non Conventional Energy Development Corporation Of Andhra Paradesh (NEDCAP) Managing Director Lingaraj Panigrahi said the Central Government would grant subsidy for setting up bio-gas plants besides giving technical assistance.
