Sugar prices drifts lower on poor demand
Navi Mumbai, May 18 (UNI) Sugar prices drifted lower on poor demand, traders at the sugar market today said.
The rates of ex-mill small and medium grades declined by Rs 15 each per quintal on sustained heavy selling pressure.
The rates of small grade rose by Rs 14 per quintal on reduced stock supply while medium grade fell by Rs ten per quintal on thin buying support.
Following were the sugar spot rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,917/1,955, medium grade Rs 1,945/1,981.
Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,885/1,910 and medium grade Rs 1,910/1,945.
