Sanyo Epson announces high-resolution LCDs

New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices Corporation (Sanyo Epson) today announced the development of high-resolution liquid-crystal displays (LCDs) that feature the Photo Fine Vistarich wide viewing angle technology.

Sanyo Epson have developed the new technology as part of the HCL-S (high quality, compact design, low power consumption, system solutions) strategy which enables the displays to produce beautiful images even when viewed from an angle of 90 degrees from the top, bottom, left or right.

''The fusion of telecommunications and broadcasting through digitisation and the seamless integration of cable and mobile communications have raised expectations for the next generation of mobile devices,'' an official statement issued here said.

Sanyo Epson will exhibit its five models viz 2.4 inch, 2.5 inch, 2.8 inch, 7.0 inch and 10.1 inch in the 2006 Automotive Engineering Exposition organised by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan to be held on May 24-26 at Pacifico Yokohama.

The production of these LCDs will commence in autumn this year, the statement added.

Sanyo Epson, a digital imaging solutions provider and printer manufacturer, intends to commercialise LCDs featuring this technology for use in car navigation and entertainment systems, digital cameras and multi-functional mobile phones.
