Roger Calmeyer appointed MD of Colgate Palmolive

Mumbai, May 18 (UNI) The Board of Directors of Colgate Palmolive India Ltd has approved the appointment of Mr Roger D Calmeyer as the company's Managing Director for a period of five years.

In a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today, the company informed that Mr Calmeyer's appointment will take effect from June 1 of this year.

His appointment is, however, subject to approvals from the Central Government and the company's shareholders.

Mr Calmeyer's appointment follows the resignation of Mr Graeme Dalziel as Managing Director of the Company effective on May 31, 2006.
