Khetri Trust case to be heard on Monday

New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) The Supreme Court will hear, on Monday, a transfer petition filed by Khetri Trust seeking transfer of a suit related to the property of late Raja Bahadur Sardar Singh of Khetri from Jaipur to the Delhi High Court.

Counsel for the trust raised the matter before a bench, comprising of Justices B P Singh and R V Ravindran, seeking transfer of the case on grounds that the same property was involved in two cases.

It would be in the interest of justice if the suit pending in Rajasthan was transferred and heard together with the will probate case pending in Delhi High Court, he told the court.

The Raja had left behind his will, dated October 30, 1985, vide which he had created a trust appointing Parmeshwar Prasad, Romesh Thapar and Lady Olga Maining of Hampton as managing trustees.

The trustees had filed a probate case which is pending in the Delhi High Court.
