ISI agent nabbed in Bathinda
Bathinda, May 18 (UNI) The Punjab Police today arrested an ISI operative from near the Army cantonement here and recovered a camera, maps, mobile phone and other documents from him.
Police said Naseer Mohammad of Kot Jamali, village Israil of Hathoor district in Pakistan, was staying here under the name of Sudheer Kumar since the last eight months.
Police informed that Naseer, who is a B Sc graduate, entered India from the Nepal border in 2004 and used to ply a ricksaw here.
Police also recovered ATM card, fake ration card and metriculation certificate from his possession. He used to receive money from his ISI boss in Pakistan through online banking, the police added.
He was booked under section 346 of the Official Secret Act and Foreign Act. Further investigations are on.
