Srinagar, May 18: The moderate Hurriyat Conference, led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, will meet here on May 22 to decide about its participation in the second round-table conference on Kashmir, convened by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, here on May 24-25.
Hurriyat sources told UNI that the Executive Council, the highest decision-making body of the amalgam, the General Council and the Working Committee will meet here on Monday to chalk out its future course of action vis-a-vis the round-table conference.
The sources said the Hurriyat leaders were busy with the week-long programme to mark the death anniversaries of assassinated leaders Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Farooq and Abdul Ghani Lone and would be able to sit only after May 21.
The moderate Hurriyat Conference had boycotted the first round-table on Kashmir held in New Delhi on February 25.
However, a six-member Hurriyat delegation later met the Prime Minister in New Delhi on May 3.
