Haryana govt constitutes state Security Committee
Chandigarh, May 18 (UNI) The Haryana government has constituted a State Security Committee to take an overall view of the security situation in the state and to advise the government accordingly.
This Committee will also look into the aspect of VVIP security as well as security arrangements at government offices including the Civil Secretariat here and all vital installations.
An official spokesman stated here today that the headquarter of the Committee would be at Chandigarh.
The Chief Secretary would be the Chairman of the Committee. The Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Financial Commissioners and Principal Secretaries of Revenue and Home Departments and the Director General of Police (DGP) would be members of this Committee.
Besides this, the Additional Director General of Police, Intelligence would be the Member Secretary.
