Harvey to stay with Gloucestershire as Bond pulls out

London, May 18 (UNI) Australian allrounder Ian Harvey will continue playing for Gloucestershire till the end of the season after his replacement -- New Zealand pacer Shane Bond -- pulled out owing to a knee injury.

''Gloucestershire are pleased to announce that Ian Harvey will continue his role within the Club to the end of the season,'' the club said in statement here.

Harvey said he was happy to stay back after a good stint with the club after having scored 159 runs and taken 11 wickets in three appearences so far.

''It is fantastic news to be back in the side for the rest of the season and it is great to be offered the opportunity to stay on with the Club,'' he said.

The Aussie signed the contract with club's Chief Executive Tom Richardson yesterday.

''Ian has made a terrific contribution both on and off the field for the first part of the season. It is really good to have him back in the team and we look forward to continuing the results of the season so far,'' Mr Richardson said.
