CRPF jawan among 15 wounded in Kashmir grenade attack
Srinagar, May 18 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and 14 civilians were wounded, some of them seriously, when militants hurled a hand grenade on a security force patrol in south Kashmir's Pulwama distrcit today, police said.
However, unconfirmed reports said one cobbler died in the grenade explosion.
Police said the militants hurled the grenade on the CRPF patrol at Shaheed Park in Pulwama town at 1130 hrs this morning.
The grenade missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside, resulting in injuries to a CRPF personnel and 14 civilians, they added.
Police said the condition of some of the wounded was stated to be critical.
