CCEA gives non-plan support to 15 loss-making PSEs

New Delhi, May 18 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today approved non-budgetary support of Rs 140.31 crore towards liquidating outstanding statutory dues, salaries and wages for the period upto December 31, 2005 in respect of 15 public sector enterprises.

It will mitigate hardships of employees, thereby motivating them for better output, said minister for information and broadcasting P.R. Dasmunshi.

The 15 PSEs are Andrew Yule and Company, Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels, Bharat Opthalmic Glass, Burn Standard, Bharat Wagon Engineering, Heavy Engineering Corporation, Hindustan Cables, HMT MT, HMT Watches, Hindustan Photo Films, Instrumentation Limited, Nepa Limited, National Instruments, Triveni Structurals and Tundabhadra Steel Products.
