SASB to issue forms for yatra shopkeepers from tomorrow
Srinagar, May 17 (UNI) The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) today asked tent owners and shopkeepers to seek written permission for opening temporary establishments at the holy cave shrine and different camping sites along the Pahalgam and Baltal routes during the pilgrimage, commencing on June 11.
A shrine board spokesman said only those shopkeepers and tent owners, who have been opening their establishments during the pilgrimage in the past, would be given the permission this year as well.
They are required to submit duly prescribed forms supported by previous permission letters and verification from police stations concerned authenticated by respective Sub-Divisional Magistrates.
The spokesman said they would be required to give an undertaking to clear up and restore their places of allotment to their original status so that no environmental degradation takes places.
The forms will be available at the SASB counter here from May 18 to 23, and could deposited up to May 31, he added.
