Munda threat on Besra's life

Jamshedpur, May 17 (UNI) Founder of All Jharkhand Students' Union (AJSU) and former MLA Surya Singh Besra today lodged an FIR with Govindpur police station here against the Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda for allegedly threatening to kill him.

In his FIR, Mr Besra said the chief minister called him from Ranchi this morning and asked to shut his mouth else he (Mr Besra) would get ready for dire consequences.

Mr Munda said he was hurt to learn the allegations of corruption levelled against him by Besra at the meeting of Jhakrhad Vikash Morcha(JVM) here on May 14.

Mr Munda also said Mr Besra being his neighbour knows many secrets of the chief minister and was taking its advantage.

In his complaint Mr Besra also said that Mr Munda said ''I will teach you a lesson if you dare to talk against me as you know my background very well.'' Mr Besra, who is one of the five convenors of JVM (Kolhan unit), said it was clear from the chief minister's ''don-like'' threat that he wanted to kill him. He said soon after the phone call he got scared and cosulted his wife and the JVM leaders, who advised him to lodge an FIR.

Mr Besra urged the officer-in-charge to provide adequate protection to him and his family in view of the alleged threat to his life and initiate legal action against Mr Munda.

Later, talking to media Mr Besra demanded a CBI inquiry into the whole incident. He claimed that he would 'expose' the 'real face' of Mr Munda before the CBI.

He said the chief minster lost his cool and was trying to take revenge as the days of Mr Munda were numbered.
