Maddur, Mysore recorded 6 cm rain
Bangalore, May 17 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hours today. Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.
Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Maddur, Mysore 6 each; Malavalli 5; T.Narsipura, Mandya, Chamarajnagara 4 each; Sulya, Bangarpet, Yelandur, Kollegal 3 each; Puttur, C.N.Halli, Hoskote, Channapatna, H.D.Kote, K.R.Sagara, Gundlupet, Bangalore AP, Bangalore city 2 each.
Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and appreciably above normal at many places over Interior Karnataka.
Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 42.4 degrees celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over North Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Mysore, Mandya, Chamarajnagara, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Kolar and Tumkur districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts of Coastal Karnataka and Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga districts of South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather may prevail over all districts of North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
