Lady doctor commits suicide

Nagpur, May 17 (UNI) A lady doctor allegedly committed suicide by injecting herself with an overdose of an anaesthetic at her clinic here early today.

Dr Rani Mahakal (43) injected herself with the anaesthetic around 0400 hrs today, police said. Her doctor husband, Abhay, tried for revive her but she died three hours later.

Police said Abhay and the couple's son Dheeraj (18) were watching television around 0230 hours when they had a slight disagreement.

Dr Rani, who was asleep at that time, woke up and took Dheeraj to the hospital downstairs.

A little later, Dheeraj called up Abhay up saying his mother had taken ill. It was then discovered that Rani had injected herself with the anaesthetic.
