Jeweller's daughter kidnapped, released

Hyderabad, May 17 (UNI) The kidnap episode of the six-year-old daughter of city jeweller ended on a happy note today as she returned home much to the relief of her family.

Police said Manasa disappeared from a dance school in Himayat Nagar last evening where she went for her classes.

Her driver, who went to the school to pick her up, was told she had already left. Her anxious parents came to know of the kidnap after receiving calls for payment of ransom.

This morning the girl's father Vijay Kumar lodged a complaint with the police. Senior officials visited the school and made enquiries.

However, Manasa was brought home by her parents from an unknown place. Family members were tight lipped on the episode.

The incident occurred barely hours after a Rs ten crore heist at a prominent jewellery shop at Panjagutta here.
