Interstate gang of vehicle thieves busted, 3 arrested

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) Police today claimed to have busted a three-member inter-state gang of criminals, involved in several cases of robberies and murder, after a brief encounter near Nizamuddin bridge.

Raj Kumar alias Raju (24), Iqbal Ahmed alias Guddu (36) and Mehboob alias Pandey (36) were arrested after a brief encounter near Nizamuddin bridge, where they had come to meet someone, according to the police.

Two country-made pistols, three cartridges and six vehicles, including four cars, were recovered from their possession.

The inter-state gang, which would steal vehicles from South and East Delhi would dispose them off in Mubai, Punjab, UP and the North-Eastern states.

One of the three, Raj Kumar, is a wanted in the murder of a Sikandarabad gangster.
