Coast Guard to open Beypore Station May 25

Kozhikode, May 17 (UNI) Aimed at undertaking reconnaissance along the northern shores of Kerala, a separate station of the Indian Coast Guard will be opened at Beypore, near here, on May 25.

Coast Guard Director Prabhakaran Paleri would inaugurate the station, an official release said today.

Beypore station would be the third in Kerala, apart from the Kochi and Vizhijam centres and the 21st in the country, it said.

Two ships, Kasturba Gandhi and Durgabai Deshmukh, would be reaching Beypore Port on May 21 to undertake an advertisement campaign prior to the inaugural function, it added.
