MP CM with BJP on disapproval of OoP legislation

Jabalpur, May 17: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said he concurred with the BJP's disapproval of the legislation on offices of profit issue passed in the Lok Sabha.

''The BJP had clarified its stand over the legislation in Parliament. Everyone will follow the decision of party's central organisation on the office of profit issue,'' Mr Chouhan told reporters at Duman airport here today.

On prospective BJP candidate from Vidisha Lok Sabha seat, he said the BJP central election committee will decide about the matter.

Regarding crumbling health services in the wake of strike by medicos, the Chief Minister said the government will not let health services get affected.

He said he had discussed the matter with Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi. However, as far as reservation was concerned, the matter was related to the Centre.

Mr Chouhan said he had no intention to provide free electricity to a special class of consumers.

However, as farmers were being charged more earlier, the government had decided to provide subsidies to them in order to provide electricty to them at less tarrif.

Mr Singh ruled out the possibilities of a cabinet expansion or bringing about a conversion-related legislation.

Mayor Sushila Singh, BJP town president Sharad Jain, MLAs Anchal Sonkar, Harendrajeet Singh and state BJP Yuva Morcha president Dheeraj Pateria were among those who were present to welcome the Chief Minister.

Mr Chouhan headed straight to MoS for Fisheries Moti Kashyap's residence to condole the recent demise of his mother.
