Centre should intervene to get bail for Shahabuddin: DP Yadav

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) Mr Devender Prasad Yadav (RJD) today demanded in the Lok Sabha the Centre's intervention for securing the release of jailed party MP, Mohammed Shahabuddin, on bail and providing medical facilities to him.

Raising the issue during zero hour, Mr Yadav said a conspiracy was being hatched to kill Mr Shahabuddin, who had been shifted from Bagalpur to Siwan jail recently.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police alongwith a dozen police personnel visited the MP around midnight and threatened him, Mr Yadav said.
