Bank employee sentenced in corruption case
Patna, May 17 (UNI) A special CBI court today awarded four year rigorous imprisonment in addition to a fine or Rs 10,000 to a former cashier of a nationalised Bank in a case of forgery and corruption.
Accused Satish Kumar Jha was found guilty by the designated judge Ramanand Sharma under the various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to the charges, Jha while posted at Dalsingh Sarai branch of State Bank of India, fradulently withdrew about Rs 10,000 from the account of a customer of the bank in 1988.
