Bandh partially affects life in Manipur

Imphal, May 17 : Life was partially affected today in Manipur due to a bandh called by Joint Action Committee (JAC) formed to demand appointment of police in the waiting list category.

The 24-hour bandh, which started from 6 pm last evening, would continue till this evening.

A large number of vehicles were seen on the roads and the traffic movement was almost normal.

However, all educational institutes were closed. The banks and shops in the Khwairamband Keithel, the main market, were also closed.
