12 CISF personnel injured in mob attack

Bokaro, May 17 : About 12 Central Industrial Security Force personnel were injured and ten vehicles damaged when a mob went on the rampage in support of their demand for employment of displaced people.

The mob, who were displaced during land requisition for the Bokaro Steel Plant, have been demanding employment for a long time for the victims.

Superintendent of police Manvinder Singh Bhatia said the agitators blocked the entrance to the plant and started pelting stones on the vehicles passing by.

About ten vehicles were damaged and the CISF personnel who came for rescue also fell victim to the mob's ire, police said.
