WAPCOS upgraded to Schedule 'B' level company

New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) Public Sector consultancy firm Water and Power Consultancy Services (India) Limited (WAPCOS) has been upgraded to a Schedule 'B' company in view of the good alround performance of the company.

The profit-making, dividend paying company has, since its inception in 1969, been giving consultancy to over 39 developing countries in Asia and Africa including Cambodia, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Zambia, Mozambique, Lesotho, Eritrea, Uganda and Swaziland. The turnover more than doubled during the last two years from Rs 40 croes to Rs 100 crores, WAPSCOS Chairman cum Managing Director D Datta said.

WAPCOS was acredited with ISO 9001 in 2000 certification for providing quality service.
