Tusker runs amok creating tense moments

Pathanamthitta, May 16 (UNI) A tusker brought for a temple festival at Omalloor ran amok creating tense moments for sometimes today.

The elephant uprooted coconut palms while running through house compounds and interior roads.

As attempts by the mahouts failed to control it, veterinarians S Gopakumar and Unnikrishnan, attached to the Pathanamthitta elephant squad, fired transquilliser shots and subdued the animal.
