TTD nets hundi collection of Rs 2.5 crore
Tirupati, May 16 (UNI) The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has netted a hundi collection of about Rs 2.5 crore at the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala during the last three days.
In view of the heavy flow of pilgrims for Garuda seva on May 13, the sale of laddus had increasd, a TTD official said yesterday.
TTD deputy executive officer A Prabhakar Reddy said the Devasthanams had taken steps to increase the production of laddus during the summer rush.
The TTD had cancelled issuing of cellar tickets through recommendation letters and seva tickets.
