State Govt indifferent to farmers woes: N D Patil
Akola, May 16 (UNI) Senior PWP leader N D Patil has accused the State Government of disregarding the problems faced by farmers.
He was speaking at a function organised by the Maharashtra Rajya Kapoos Utpadak Shetkari Sangh to felicitate him yesterday.
He alleged that cotton farmers in the State were driven to commit suicide as they had not received timely payment for their produce under the monopoly purchase scheme.
Senior cooperation leader Vasantrao Dhotre, speaking on the occasion, lauded Mr Patil's contributions to serve the cause of the farmers.
