Six including SHO get lifer

Kanpur, May 16 (UNI) A local court here today awarded life imprisonment to six persons including the Station House Officer S H O of Kakawan police station for killing two brothers in fake encounter in Kharakpur village in 2002.

The judge A K Rastogi after hearing both sides, also fined Rs 1000 to each involved in the case.

Judge Rastogi said that it was established beyond doubt that the Kakawan SHO J P Singh, and two police personnel Dharmendra and Veer Singh under the influence of Ram Sanehi his son and brother-in law shot dead brothers Ram Prakash and Satyanarain in a fake encounter on January 20, 2002.

The judge observed that on the estalished facts, it was found a fake encounter and all the six persons, including SHO, deserved life imprisonment.
