Sensex bounces back, gaining 500 points
Sensex and Nifty in the green. It bounces back almost 500 points after the intra-day low.
Sensex continues downward journey, 400 pts loss.

The sensex came down by 400 points. It has corrected 10 per cent from the recent high of 12, 671.

Mumbai, May 16: The sensex came down by 62.45 points.
Earlier, the Bombay Stock Exchange's (BSE) sensitive index (Sensex) opened 39 points lower at 11,861 points as compared to the last close of 11,822 and dipped 170 points to a low of 11,652 points before recovering partially.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) S&P CNX Nifty index opened unchanged at 3,502.95 point but dipped to a low of 3,456 points before rising to 3,466.90 points around 1042 hrs.
The NSE Nifty index traded 33 points lower at 3,466.90 points at 1142 hrs as compared to the last close of 3,502.95 points.
Smallcap scrips were losing badly with 1.37 per cent dip on the BSE smallcap index and BSE midcap index was down by 0.91 per cent.
Metal scrips continued to bleed with BSE Metal index down by 1.66 per cent, BSE Capital Goods index was down by 1.33 per cent and BSE Helath Care index was down by 1.64 per cent.
The top losers on the Sensex were Cipla, Tata Steel, Tata Power, Larsen&Toubro, BHEL, Reliance Energy, NTPC, ONGC, Hindalco and Hero Honda.
The top gainers on the 30 share Sensex were Gujarat Ambuja, ACC, Wipro, ITC and Grasim Industries.
