Rangers sign Czech midfielder Sionko
GLASGOW, May 16 (Reuters) Rangers have signed Czech Republic midfielder Libor Sionko for three years on a free transfer from Austria Vienna.
The 29-year-old agreed the contract following a successful medical on Tuesday and became the first big signing under new manager Paul Le Guen.
Sionko told the club's website: ''It is a great privilege to be joining Rangers and I am eager to begin my new life in Scotland.
''I had many offers from a number of top teams but once I learned Rangers were interested my mind was made up.
Czech Republic coach Karel Bruckner has put Sionko on standby for the World Cup finals in Germany.
