Police arrests woman, seize gold ornaments

Vijayawada, May 16 (UNI) The city police today arrested a 45-year-old woman and seized 525 gms of gold ornaments worth Rs 5 lakhs from her here today.

Police said they spotted the woman illu govardhana alias gogulu who was a known criminal, while patrolling. As she was moving around in suspieious manner they apprehended her and recovered the gold ornaments.

Police also searched her house in Payakapuram also and seized 500 grams of silver.
