PhD, MPhil Holders Exempted From NET : UGC

New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) Lecturership aspirants with PhD or MPhil degrees are now exempt from National Eligibility Test qualifications, the University Grants Commission announced this evening.

Top UGC officials led by Chairman Sukhadeo Thorat declined at a news conference to explain the need for such a move, but cited interim findings of an expert panel.
