Patni launches SAP xApps

Mumbai, May 16 (UNI) Patni Computer Systems, a leading global IT consulting and services provider, today said it has become one of the first global companies to launch a composite application that has achieved ''SAP xApps'', certified-powered by SAP NetWeaver status.

In a statement here, Mr Raghu Mahalingam, Vice President and Head of SAP Practice at Patni, said its inventory optimizer solution helps companies in the CPG, pharmaceutical and retail Industries lower costs through more efficient disposal of sluggish inventory. The annoucement was made today at the commencement of the 2006 ASUG Annual Conference and SAPPHIRE 06, SAP's international customer conference.

He further said that accurate identification and tracking of slow moving surplus and obsolete SKUs are typical issues that have always plagued organizations in the CPG, pharmaceuticals and retail industries.
