Marandi still with BJP : Tewari

Ranchi, May 16 (UNI) BJP national vice-president Babulal Marandi did not resign and he was still in the party, according to his private secretary Rajendra Tewari.

When his attention was drawn to some reports that Mr Marandi had resigned from the BJP, Mr Tewari told UNI tonight that the report was totaly baseless and Mr Marandi was at his native village Kodaibank in Giridh district.

Mr Marandi would go ahead with his 24-hour fasting against the state government's failure to check the naxalite violence in the state at Sewatand tomorrow as per his earlier announcement, he said UNI SCS SJC/src2035
