K'taka may reduce entertainment tax on amusement parks
Mysore, May 16 (UNI) The Karnataka Government will consider reducing entertainment tax on amusement parks from the existing 20 per cent, Tourism Minister B Sriramulu informed today.
Speaking after inaugurating two new systems at GRS Fantasy Park here, he assured that he would soon discuss the matter with Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and ensure that the tax was reduced as amusement parks played a major role in promotion of tourism in the state.
He also urged entrepreneurs to start amusement parks in North Karnataka region.
