HC denies anticipatory bail to Delhi Police constable
New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today denied any interim relief to a Delhi Police constable, who was caught accepting a bribe on camera, seeking anticipatory bail.
The court denied anticipatory bail to Constable Joginder Singh, who remains at large. He was caught on camera, accepting a bribe of Rs 100 from a bus driver at a crossing near Safdarjang Hospital on November 23, 2005.
The camera was installed there by the anti-corruption sleuths.
The video footage was shown in the court. Justice R C Jain fixed May 19 as the next date of hearing.
