Gurdwara Baba murdered over gurdwara dispute
Amritsar, May 16 (UNI) A group of eight to nine armed assailants allegedly murdered Baba Bhola Singh near Bhoru village this morning, police here said.
According to the police Baba Bhole Singh was attacked while he was on the way to Chabal alongwith one of his followers. The attackers used sharp edged weapons to commit the crime.
Baba Bhole Singh died on the spot while his follower was injured.
Baba Bhole Singh was the caretaker of a gurdwara in Jagatpura.
The deceased was a follower of the late Baba Mangal Singh of Satlani Sahib. He was involved in a dispute with another group over the control of the gurdwara at Jagatpura.
The police has registered a case against Baba Hira Singh, a member of the rival group.
