Five lakh, jewellery, cash missing from bank locker

New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) Police have registered a case after a Subhash Nagar resident complained that valuables worth Rs five lakh were missing from his bank locker in Tilak Nagar area of West Delhi.

A complaint to this effect was made by Surjit Singh (47), who told the police that after he went to open his locker at the Tilak Nagar branch of the Bank of India today he found it empty, said sources.

Jewellery worth Rs four lakh and one lakh in cash, kept in the locker, were missing, according to the report.

The complainant said he last opened his locker on December 5.

A case has been registered and investigations are on, the police said.
