Devotees throngs Siddhivinayak temple

Mumbai, May 16 : Thousands of devotees of Lord Ganesha thronged the Siddhivinayak temple here and other temples to perform pooja and to have a darshan of the lord on the auspicious occasion of 'Angarki Chaturthi' today.

Devotees queued outside the Siddhivinayak temple since midnight and people stood for atleast four to five hours for the 'darshan' of Lord Ganesha.

The Angarki Chaturthi falls once in six months and devotees believe their wishes would be fulfilled if they pray on this auspicious day.

Some people had walked down to Siddhivinayak from their residence in Western and Eastern suburbs without wearing their footwears.

Similarly, people are also performing 'Pooja' in other Ganesh temples in the metropolis.
