COS to Ruia hospital in Tirupati

Tirupati,May 16 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government has provided Centralised Oxygen System (COS) to Sri Venkateswara Ramnaryana Ruia Hospital, a hospital official said.

Talking to UNI, the hospital superintendent Abdul Salam said the hospital had resorted to manual administration of oxygen to the patients. The COS had put an end to such practices, he added.

Speaking about the new facility he said, the hospital required 10 to 20 cylinders a day. The frequent changing of cylinders had been dangerous for the patients on ventialtors and respirators.

Under the new facilitity the ventilators and respirators will continuously supply oxygen. The new equipment would be a boon for the accident victims ,he added.
