Committee examining statehood proposal for Delhi

New Delhi, May 16 (UNI) An inter-ministerial committee of officials is examining the proposal to grant statehood to Delhi, the Lok Sabha was informed today.

The Committee, which includes a representative of the Government of NCT of Delhi, has not been given any definite time-frame to give its report, Minister of State for Home Manikrao Gavit told the House during Question Hour.
