Case of assault, threat lodged against BSP MP
Jaunpur, May 16 (UNI) Police today registered a case against local BSP MP Umakant Yadav and his supporters for assaulting a villager and issuing life threats to him.
As per the FIR lodged by Srikant Yadav, the MP accompanied by his over 12 supporters reached village Kauradih in Khuthan area this morning and started beating him over a property dispute.
He also claimed that the BSP leader issued life threats to him.
Meanwhile, police superintendent Sanjiv Gupta said investigations were on in the case.
