BJP appoints new office bearers in K'taka

Bangalore, May 16 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka today appointed new office bearers, including six Vice Presidents, three General Secretaries and six Secretaries.

Announcing the revamp, Party State President Sadanandagowda said Dr Vaman Acharya had been appointed as the Vice-President along with five others and he would continue as the state Organisation Secretary till a suitable replacement was found.

He said the other Vice Presidents were K B Shanappa, MP, Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, A G Kodagi, G M Siddesh and Vishweswar Hegde Kageri.

Mr Arvind Limbavali, Mr Sureshkumar and Ms Shobha Karandlaje had been appointed as the General Secretaries.

Mr Sadanandagowda said Mr Sureshkumar would continue as the party spokesman. Mr Prahlad Joshi, MP, would be the party spokesman for the Hubli-Dharwad region, he added.
