Bank employee convicted in corruption case
Patna, May 16 (UNI) Special CBI judge of Patna Ramanand Sharma today found a former cashier of a nationalised Bank guilty in a case of forgery and corruption.
Accused Satish Kumar Jha was convicted by the designated judge under various sections of Indian Panel Code (IPC) and Prevention of Corruption Act.
Hearing on the point of sentence would be held tomorrow.
According to the charges, the convict, Mr Jha, fraudlently withdrew about Rs 10,000 from the account of a customer of the Bank in 1988.
The convict was posted at Dalsingh Sarai branch of State Bank of India during that period.
