AIR news on phone

Thiruvananthapuram, May 16 (UNI) By dailing a number, one can listen to the news of All India Radio, Thiruvananthapuram, from anywhere in the World from tomorrow.

The News on Phone service of AIR will be inaugurated tomorrow by BSNL Kerala Circle Chief General Manager S A Thomas.

Mr Akashy Raut, Additional Director General (News), News Service Division, AIR, and N Sreenivasan, Director (Engineering), AIR Southern Region, will participate in the function.

The News on phone service will be available from 0930 hrs in English and Malayalam. For listening to news in Malayalam, BSNL phone users within Kerala can call 125900, for this, code need not be used, from other phones, including mobile phones. Malayalam news can be accessed by calling 0471-2335702.

For listening to news in English from BSNL phones 125800 should be dialled and from other phones, it can be accessed by ringing up 0471-2335700. Through this system, 30 people can listen to news at a time.
