23 probables attending national net ball camp

Chandigarh, May 16 (UNI) Twenty three probables are attending the second phase of the national coaching camp in preparation for India's participation in the fifth Asian Youth Net Ball Championship to be held in Bangalore from July 24 to 30.

Punjab Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs inaugurated the national camp being organised by the Mount Carmel School here today.

National Netball Federationof India (NBFI) president Gurbir Singh said that an 18-member Indian girls team would attend the third and final camp in Bangalore from July one to 22 before the Asian Youth Championship.

Countries participating in the Under-21 Asian Youth meet are: India, Hong Kong, Maldives, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Singaproe, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and Pakistan.

The first camp was held in Raipur (Chattisgarh) from February 5 to 22 in which 32 players were invited.

Those invited to the camp are: Divya B Dasars (Karnataka), H S Leela (Karnataka), Thamari Selvi (TN), S Sonia Devi (Manipur), KPR Monalisa (AP), Divya Ramanna (AP), K Naga Prasanna (AP), Richa Risht (Delhi), Nishi Bakshi, Preeti Banchoor (Gujarat), Neha Bajaj (Gujarat), Chandrika Sahu (Delhi), Reeta (Haryana), Prachi Malik (Haryana), Subrapal (Assam), Madhu (Chandigarh), Nisha (Chandigarh), Raj Sushmita, Tanuja (Orissa), Latika Mittal (UP), Shruti (UP) and Parmeshwari (AP).
