Vizag stadium on the verge of completion: ACA

Vijayawada, May 15 (UNI) K V Rao, President of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), presiding over the executive committee meeeting of the association said ACA possess three international stadia in the three regions and a stadium at Visakhapatnam was on the verge of completion.

He yesterday said advertisements and sponsorships through TV coverage of domestic cricket was contemplated.

He said steps were taken to motivate the players. The committee elected the state selection committees of various age groups for the season 2006-07, he added.

Mr N Venkata Rao, Honorary Secretary of the association submitted various proposals and suggested plans for developing cricket in Aandhra region.

The committee had decided to conduct the 53rd Annual General Meeting at Rajahmundry on June ten and eleven.
