TN DGP relinquishes charge

Chennai, May 15 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Director General of Police A X Alexander who had been transferred as DGP, Special Officer, Tamil Nadu Police Academy, today relinquished charge.

Mr Alexander handed over charge to Mr K P Jain, DGP, Uniform Recruitment services to take up the new post.

Mr D Mukherjee, Additional Director, CBI, who was appointed as the new DGP of the state in place of Mr Alexander, would take charge on May 17, police sources said.
