Tajiki delegation discusses Parliamentary function with Dasmunsi

New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) A Parliamentary delegation from Tajikistan called on Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Information and Broadcasting P R Dasmunsi here today.

Mr Dasmunsi apprised the delegation, led by Mr S. Khairulloev, Chairman, Majlisi Namayandagon of Majlisi Oli, about the functioning of Parliamentary democracy in India.

He said the two countries had historical links in several areas and India looked forward to further strengthen these relations.

Mr Dasmunsi also informed the visitors about the strong democratic institutions in India, besides the growth of the Indian economy in the past few years.

The visiting dignitary observed that India-Tajikistan relations were at a high level and poised to improve further. He felt that India had been lending good help in the development of Tajikistan and her relations with India were important from this perspective also.
