Six killed in fireworks explosion in Arsikere in Karnataka

Bangalore, May 15 (UNI) Six people, including a woman and a two-year old girl, were killed in a firework explosion that brought down a house in Arsikere town in Hassan District of Karnataka today.

Arsikere police told UNI over telephone that the explosion ripped the old house around 0445 hrs when the inmates were sleeping. Two adjoining houses were also extensively damaged due to the impact.

Police said that the crackers stored in the house were normally used for fire work display during temple festivals and other functions.
